Shadetuff Lawn Turf

  • Lush thinner bladed lawn.
  • Great for semi shaded areas.
  • Slow growing which reduces how often it requires mowing.
  • More temperamental as damage incurred from pests, diseases, traffic, and mowing too low, will take longer to repair.

  • Warm-season grasses.
  • Commonly found in tropical and subtropical regions.
  • Fast growing dense grass.
  • Drought resistance.
  • Requires at least 6 hours of full sun a day so not suitable for shaded areas.
  • Popular choice for sports fields and commercial applications.

  • Varieties:
    • Wintergreen
      • Fine texture and a deep green color.

    • Tropika and Blue Couch
      • Thicker blade widths and a slight blue tinge.
      • Lower maintenance.
      • Greater pest resistance.
      • Don’t require regular scarification to look perfect.
      • Attractive option for many homeowners.

Palmetto Buffalo Lawn Turf

  • Buffalo Variants have thick blades.
  • Tolerate shade.
  • Aggressive growth habit which helps them recover from damage.
  • Not the most attractive lawns, however they are often the practical choice for homeowners with semi shaded areas and high traffic.
  • Semi-regular scarification is required for buffalo lawns as part of the root system grows above ground.
  • If scarification is not done, the lawn will feel spongy underneath your feet.
